Kids PlaySafer: Empowering Digital Citizens for a Safer Tomorrow

Kids PlaySafer is a volunteer-led, nonprofit #techforgood initiative dedicated to promoting cyber wellness and digital safety. Our mission is to understand how kids engage online and use technology to foster meaningful conversations that keep youths safe. Through our signature program, Level Up: Gaming Guardians How to be SAFE, we engage students in team-based challenges that teach essential online safety principles. Piloted in 2023 with the National Library Board’s long-running S.U.R.E. programme, Kids PlaySafer aims to empower students to take the lead in educating their peers, especially vulnerable youths, about online safety.

In collaboration with partners such as IMDA’s Digital for Life, NCS, NTU’s Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Allkin, Tencent, and NLB, we extend our impact across Singapore. More recently, we partnered with Singapore Science Center DiscovHER 2025 - Inspiring the NeXXt Generation. We currently serve 124 registered beneficiaries at Family Service Centers, run the Gaming Guardians program, which has engaged over 400 participants, and organise Digital Safety Talks that reach underprivileged families and communities.
